On Monday, March 20, 2017 the “Memorandum of Cooperation” between the National Scientific and Technological Association of Ukraine, Uzhhorod National University and Technical University of Kosice was signed in the city of Kosice (Slovakia). The document was signed by advisor to the chairperson of the National Scientific and Technological Association of Ukraine Professor Yuriy Senyuk, the Rector of UzhNU Professor Volodymyr Smolanka and Vice-Rector of the Technical University of Kosice Professor Vladimir Modrak.
The present memorandum laid the foundation for further cooperation between the scientific institutions of the two countries by means of the establishment of “Ukrainian-Slovak international center for technology transfer” on the basis of science parks of Uzhhorod National University and Technical University of Kosice. Its activity will be focused on organizing and coordinating scientific-technological and innovation-investment cooperation of scientific and educational units of national and regional institutions, mutual technology transfer, innovative development of small and medium enterprises of Ukraine, Slovakia and other EU countries. In order to achieve common goal, the parties intend to participate in international grant programs and technical assistance projects.
